Controversial Graphic Tees Streetwear
A good graphic tee is not accidental. The quality of the screen print matters — whether the ink survives washing, whether it cracks after one season, whether the coverage is even. At Love The Police we use screen printing that holds to the fabric the same way after the fiftieth wash as after the first. That is the foundation, without which there is no point talking about the message.
Controversial does not mean vulgar. It means thought-provoking. Our graphics draw from documentary archives, from the history of police, protests, the system. When you put on a STEAL IT or LOVE THE POLICE tee, you enter into a dialogue with those histories. Some people get it immediately. Some ask. Both reactions are valid.
T-shirts are produced in limited runs — there is no infinite stock. When a drop sells out, it is gone. That is intentional: we do not want our pieces everywhere. We want them on people who know why they are buying them.
